IND vs NZ, 2nd Test, Day 2 : Mitchell Santher’s 7-fer puts New Zealand in command over India

Pune : New Zealand dominated India on Day 2 of 2nd Test at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. Mitchell Santner’s spell of 7/53 & skipper Tom Latham’s 86 (133) put the Black Caps in a commanding position.

India started the Day with 16/1. However, the whole Batting line up crumbled with poor short selections in front of New Zealand left arm spinner Mitchell Santner.

The spinner bagged 7-fef with spell of 7/53, picking Virat Kohli (1), Shubman Gill (30), Ravindra Jadeja (38), Sarfaraz Khan (11), Ravi Ashwin (4) , Akash Deep (6), Jasprit Bumrah (0).

Glenn Phillips also picked wickets of in form players Yashasvi Jaiswal (30) & Risabh Pant (18). India got bundled out for just 156 runs.

In reply, New Zealand piled up 198-5 , owing to Tom Latham (86) Tom Blundell (30*) & Will Young (23) knocks.

Black Caps now lead by 301 runs and will start Day 3 with full control.
