Kanpur : India defeated Bangladesh by 7 Wickets at Green Park, Kanpur & whitewashed them 2-0. Indian bowlers with likes of Ravi Ashwin , Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah dominated Bangladesh on Day 5.
Starting the day with 26-2 , Shadman Islam (50) played a handy knock. However, Ravindra Jadeja picked up 3 quick wickets in 3 overs to change things round.
Despite Mushfiqur’s great resistance, the joint efforts of Bumrah, Ashwin, Jadeja, picked 3-fers each and rattled Bangladesh for 146 runs. The target for India was thus set to 95 runs.
Coming to Bat, despite losing Rohit Sharma (8) & Shubman Gill (6) early, Yashasvi Jaiswal (51) & Virat Kohli (29*) guided India to an easy win by 7 wickets.
Jaiswal was adjourned the Man of the Match, while Ashwin the Man of The Series.
