IND v IRE 2ND T20I : India clinch T20I series 2-0 against Ireland

Dublin : India led by Jasprit Bumrah clinched the T20I series against Ireland 2-0 on 20 August at Dublin , by 33 runs.

Chasing a target of 186 runs, Irish innings never looked settled or forming partnerships as they kept on losing wickets, the double break through started from the over of Prasidh Krishna picking up important wickets of Paul Stirling and Tucker. However, Irish veteran opener Andrew Balbirnie gave a tough challenge to India as he smashed the bowlers with innovative techniques all over the park. However, Arshdeep Singh ended his innings in the 16th over and ended Irish hopes. Skipper Bumrah bowled a maiden wicket over in the final over to win it for India.

Earlier in the 1st innings, Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, debutant Rinku Singh, and Sanju Samson showed heroics with the Bat scoring 58(43), 38(21) & 40(26) Respectively. Ruturaj Gaikwad held the innings from the start despite the early wickets loss of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma, accompanied by the experience of Sanju Samson who was in beast mode, but the major highlight of the innings came as after arrival of Rinku Singh, who gave hopes of being an upcoming finisher for India, scoring a quick fire 38(21) with 3 sixes and 2 boundaries, where he smashed 21 runs in the 19th over of McCarthy, and taking India to a huge total of 185.

Rinku Singh won the man of the match in his debut for his cameo.
