Barcelona: Lionel Messi has seen many in the year 2020. After his failed transfer saga that has caught the whole world by storm, the Barcelona talisman has lashed out following the claims of his fellow teammate, Antoine Griezmann’s uncle and even his former agent.

The 33-year-old talisman was left disappointed after the club failed to perform both on and off the field. His anger over the incompetent board and their lack of sporting project was made clear in an interview.

Matters got much more complicated, when his closest mate Luis Suarez was almost forced to leave the club. In the meantime, Josep Bartomeu and his board of directors resigned in late October. Moreover, ever since Griezmann joined Barcelona, it was rumored that Messi and he did not share a very comfortable relationship.

Emmanuel Lopes, Griezmann’s uncle reportedly opened up to the media regarding the failure of the Frenchman to acclimatise in Barcelona. He said, “(Griezmann) was convinced that he wasn’t going to be successful within the first six months, but what I didn’t expect was that it would last an entire year. Besides, with Messi, I know what’s going on inside [the club] – it’s not easy.”

“Basically, (Messi) doesn’t work hard enough at Barca and the training sessions are structured in order to please certain people, which is fine if you don’t want to work (as hard).” The Argentine spoke to the media when he reached the El Prat Airport.

His disappointment was quite clear from his curt responses. “I’m tired of always being everyone’s problem at the club. I get here after a 15-hour flight and I find a tax agent here, it’s ridiculous,” said Messi.

It has been almost a year, and the Frenchman has failed to shine in the Blaugrana jersey. This has led to rising frustration, but the close ones of Griezmann believe that the bad form has everything to do with Messi.
