Guyana : Afghanistan beat Uganda whooping margin of 125 runs in 5th Match of Group C encounter on June 4 at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Afghan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi picked up 5 wickets to demolish Uganda.
Defending a total of 184 runs, Uganda found themselves in complete backfoot as Farooqi demolished their top and middle order with his 5-fer. Uganda got bundled out for 58 runs.
With Bat in 1st Innings, Afghan openers – Rahmanullah Gurbaz (76) & Ibrahim Zadran (70) gave Afghanistan a superb start.
Both scored a partnership of 154 runs in 14 overs.
However, in 15th & 16th over after successive their dismissals, Afghanistan middle order didn’t score much and they ended for 183/5 after 20 overs.
Farooqi was adjourned the man of the match for his brilliant performance.
