Bowling first, New Zealand kept picking Bangladeshi wickets at regular intervals of time. Despite handy knocks of skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (77) & Jaker Ali (45), Bangladesh could only manage 236-9 (50). Kiwi spinner Michael Bracewell picked 4/26 and trapped Batters.

With this outcome, New Zealand and India have qualified for semi final from Group A, while Pakistan and Bangladesh have been knocked out.
