Kolkata : ICC has announced fixtures for ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to begin from February 19 to March 9, 2025, after long term fiasco regarding hosting. The mega clash of arch rivals India and Pakistan will take place at Dubai on February 23, 2025.
The tournament will be played in a hybrid model as per demands of BCCI due to security concerns. This means, all Matches that involve India will be played at Dubai International Stadium. Rest will be played in Pakistan.
If India reach semi final, they’ll play semi final 1 at Dubai International Stadium. The final is scheduled to take place on March 9 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, however, if India qualify for final, it will be played at Dubai international stadium.
The opening match is set to be played on February 19, 2025 at National Stadium, Karachi between host and defending champion Pakistan and New Zealand. Pakistan will play Bangladesh on February 27, 2025, in their last group game.
The 2 semi-finals matches will take place on 4 March and 5 March. The final, on 9 March, does have a reserve day.
The 8 teams will be divided in 2 Groups A & B – top 2 teams from each groups will reach Semi Finals.
Group A comprises – India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh.
Group B comprises – Australia, England, Afghanistan and South Africa.
