Kolkata: The I-League, which began just three days ago in Kolkata under a biosecure bubble, has been suspended for two weeks. According to reports, at least 15 players have tested positive for Covid-19.
Five players and three support staff of Real Kashmir FC have tested positive for the coronavirus who were staying at hotel Novotel. A total of seven teams were staying in the hotel including Real Kashmir. As per reports, one official from Mohammedan SC, Aizwal and Sreenidi have also tested positive for the virus who were residing at the same hotel.
There have some positive cases reported among certain #HeroILeague teams. The League is keeping a close tab on it and have already spoken to the clubs. In addition, an emergency meeting of the League Committee has also been summoned in the afternoon. Further details soon. pic.twitter.com/QZwfRppxDm

The I-League committee will hold a meet in the afternoon and will soon announce the decision. A total of 13 teams are playing this season’s I-League.
