Harmanpreet Kaur to lead India in white ball series against Sri Lanka

New Delhi: Indian women team against Sri Lanka was named on Wednesday following a meeting of the All-India Women’s Selection Committee. Harmanpreet Kaur will be the skipper across the two formats, whereas Smriti Mandhana will take on the role of vice-captain.

The squad consists of the same players in both versions, with slight differences. While Jemimah Rodrigues is not included in the ODI squad, Taniya Bhatia and Harleen Deol were left out of the T20 squad.

The tour consists of three T20s followed by as many ODIs. The opening T20 will be played on June 23 at Dambulla, and the series will conclude on June 27 at the same location. For One-Day Internationals, the teams will travel to Kandy, where the first ODI will be played on July 1. And the final match will take place on July 7th.
