New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings’s off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will join the team in UAE on September 1 ahead of the IPL 2020. He didn’t travel last week with the team due to some personal reasons. He had missed the training season but will be joining the camp from September.

The 40-year-old will have to clear two COVID-19 tests in India and three on arrival to Dubai. Singh will be further quarantined for seven days on his arrival following the regular SOPs as imposed by the BCCI.

Recently, Bhajji’s CSK teammates Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad contracted the virus, while Suresh Raina had to fly back home owing to personal reasons. The way ahead of Super Kings looks tough, but the franchise is sure about recovering ahead of the tournament and return in full action.

The whole side have gone into isolation once again and are expected to start training once everything are fine. However, most of the franchises have started their training sessions. The 13th edition of the IPL will get underway from September 19.
