Ahmedabad: Debutants Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets to clinch their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title.

Gujarat Titans’ captain Hardik Pandya showcased a brilliant all-round performance. Scalping up three wicket, Hardik Pandya scored 34 runs in the second innings at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Chasing a achievable target of 131 runs for victory, Gujarat out-stood with a 63-run third-wicket partnership between Shubman Gill (45) and Pandya. Gill and Miller carried Gujarats to get past the finish line with 11 balls remainig.

Earlier, Hardik Pandya took three wickets to restrict Rajasthan Royals to to a mere 130/9 in 20 overs. The Gujarat Titans skipper managed 3/17 in his four overs as Rajasthan kept losing wickets at regular intervals. R Sai Kishore hooked two wickets under his name.
