Fati became the second-youngest player to debut for Barcelona at just 16 years and 298 days when he played against Real Betis the previous year. Within a week, he became the youngest goalscorer for the Catalan side scoring in a 2-2 draw against Osasuna. Fati became the youngest debutant for Spain and also the youngest goal scorer.
