Kolkata : Brazilian legend Neymar Jr returned to action for Al Hilal on November 4 almost after a year recovering from injury. However, his return didn’t go well as he was subbed off with yet another injury. Now he provided an update to his fans regarding his latest injury.
Al Hilal faced Iranian side Esteghal on November 4 in AFC Champions League clash.
This match was special as Brazilian legend and former Barcelona star Neymar Jr was set to return to the field after a year, when he suffered critical ligament injury and suffered long spell being ruled out a year before.
In this match, he was subbed in on 58th minute on the Field in place of Abdullah Al Hamdan and fans hoped for a positive return.
However, after barely 29 minutes of playing, he suffered yet another fresh injury and was subbed off in the 87th minute.
Neymar now has provided a latest update on his injury to his fans and supporters. He said that the injury was nothing serious but a strong cramp which is normal after playing for this long. He also clarified that he will do examinations hoping it’s nothing serious and acknowledged the club and fans for their support.
He said, “I felt like a cramp but very strong! I will do exams and hope it’s nothing more, It’s normal for this to happen after one year. The doctors warned me. This is why I need to be careful and have more minutes to play. Great team game, very happy to be back playing at home… and thank you for the affection of the fans! Now it’s time to recover. We’re still firm and strong”.
