Goa: The match between Bengaluru FC and Odisha FC should and will go down as one of the most highly entertaining 1-1 draws of the season in the Indian Super League. The match had almost everything in it but nobody could separate the side after 90 minutes. For Odisha, Diego Mauricio scored the goal. For Bengaluru, it was Eric Paartalu.

The match started with Bengaluru attacking from the first minute and with positives which they were missing in their last matches. Against the run of play, Diego Mauricio scored the first goal for Odisha in the eighth minute. It happened due to a clever play from Jerry Mawihmingthanga. Certainly a good goal by the Brazilian, who has now registered his seventh goal of the campaign.

Bengaluru started to press after that and came close even in the first half but lack of finishing stopped them from scoring the equalizer.

In the second half, the match started with Bengaluru attacking and Odisha countering their attacks. Arshdeep Singh made three to four genuine saves under the Odisha goal, whereas India no.1 Gurpreet Singh Sandhu did a similar thing under the Bengaluru goal.

The goal for Bengaluru came from a Cleiton Silva corner in the 82nd minute after Paartalu slotted it a header. The match could have gone anyway but stayed even-steven. Football won today after such a committed performance from every other player on the pitch.
