Liverpool: Liverpool walked all over Leeds United at Anfield with a 6-0 victory in the English Premier League on Thrusday ( February 24). With this victory, Liverpool reduce their points gap to table leaders Manchester City to just three points.

The host took lead when Mohamed Salah scored a penalty, after Start Dallas was penalised for a handball offence. Following his goal,he took up the role of a creator as he assisted Joel Matip for Liverpool’s second goal of the match.

Salah completed his brace from the spot kick when Sadio Mane was fouled in the penalty box. A VAR check awarded the penalty which was deftly converted by the Egyptian. Mane, himself added a couple of goals more to the tally. The match was wrapped by a Virgil van Dijk’s goal during the added time.

“I think for people outside it is better to have three or six-point gap than to have a 20 or 30-point gap, so it is more exciting,” Jurgen Klopp told the media. “But we have to win a lot of the games against all the difficult opponents and that will be a tricky task. We will give it a try.”

A header from Ben Mee on 71 minutes spoiled the high Tottenham Hotspur were experiencing after defeating Manchester City. Tottenham lost 1-0 against Burnley, as they miss out on the top four spot in the Premier League table.
