EPL 2022-23: Tournament to begin from August 5

The 2022/23 Premier League season will begin on Friday, August 5, with Crystal Palace hosting Arsenal, followed by Manchester City hosting West Ham on Sunday, August 7.

 

On the first weekend,  Everton willl encounter against Chelsea on August 6 and Manchester United’s Super Sunday fixture will be against Brighton, which will mark the start of the Erik ten Hag era at Old Trafford.

Manchester City will face Liverpool, their 2021/22 title rivals, at Anfield on the weekend of October 15, before facing Jurgen Klopp’s team at the Etihad Stadium on the weekend of April 1.

The Premier League season will be paused for the first time ever after the weekend of November 12/13 to allow for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

On Boxing Day, eight days after the World Cup final on December 18, the season will resume. There are no games scheduled between Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve, but teams will return to action on January 2, 2023, after playing on the final day of 2022. Chelsea vs Manchester City will be an exciting match to watch.
