Manchester : English openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett proved their mettle on Day 2 of 4th Test of Anderson-Tendulkar trophy at Manchester.
India finished Day 1 on 264-4 with Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur at crease.
In the early hour of day 2 , Jadeja (20) lost his wicket to Jofra Archer. Washington Sundar (27) walked in for good 48 runs partnership with Shardul Thakur (41) before both got dismissed on 337 runs.
Rishabh Pant (54) walked out in the middle with fractured toe and scored half century. Despite the efforts, Indian tail collapsed and got bundled on 358 runs.
Coming to Bat, English openers Ben Duckett (94) and Zak Crawley (84) smashed 166 runs opening stand before Crawley got dismissed. Duckett after 31 runs partnership with Ollie Pope (20*) became the debut wicket of Anshul Kamboj.
England ended the Day with 225-2 , 133 runs trail and Ollie Pope, Joe Root (11*) at crease.
