ENG vs IND, 3rd Test, Day 4:India land in trouble despite Washington Sundar’s heroics

London : India lost 4 wickets by the end of Day 4 at Lord’s, London in 3rd Test of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy despite Washington Sundar’s 4-fer.

England ended Day 3 on 2-0 with Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett at crease, leading by 2 runs. India started the day with quick wickets of Duckett (12), Ollie Pope (4) , Crawley (22), Harry Brook (23) for 87 runs in first 21 overs.

Joe Root (40) & Ben Stokes (23) notched vital 67 runs partnership but after their dismissals, the lower order didn’t make enough runs and fell prey to Washington Sundar (4/22) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/38). Md Siraj also picked 2 wickets up the order. England could manage only 192 runs, setting target of 193 for India, on a tricky Pitch.

Coming to Bat, India lost opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for duck in 2nd over off a short Ball as Jofra Archer dismissed him for 2nd time in the match.

After 35 runs partnership between Karun Nair (14) and KL Rahul (33*), clusters of wickets including Nair, skipper Shubman Gill (6) fell. By the end of the day, Ben Stokes bowled out night watchman Akash Deep (1) as India ended on 58-4 with KL Rahul at crease.
