London : KL Rahul smashed his 2nd ton of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy on Day 3, at Lord’s, London in 3rd Test. However, India’s middle order displayed flop show, having a collapse and failing to take big lead even after getting golden opportunity.
India ended Day 2 on 145-3 , trailing by 242 runs with KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant at crease and 242 runs trail.
Rahul (100) and Rishabh Pant (74) notched 141 runs partnership before Pant getting run out on 248 runs. Rahul completed his century with 13 boundaries shortly after that, but departed soon off spinner Shoaib Bashir.
Ravindra Jadeja (72) yet again rose to occasion, completing his half century and 2 vital partnerships with Nitish Reddy (30) and Washington Sundar of 72 & 50 respectively.
However, after Jadeja’s wicket on 376, Indian lower order soon collapsed to english pacers and were eventually bundled out on 387, the same score as England’s first innings.
England came out to Bat for just 1 over facing Jasprit Bumrah, and ended Day 3 on 2-0, wirh Zak Crawley (2*) and Ben Duckett at crease.
