Kolkata : One of the greatest clubs of Bengal – East Bengal are set to kick off their Durand Cup 2025 campaign in the tournament’s opening match against debutant South United FC at home ground Yuva Bharati Kriangan, Salt Lake, Kolkata on July 23, 2025.
The Red and Yellow brigade has won the Durand Cup for 16 times, making them 2nd most successful team after arch rivals Mohun Bagan Super Giants who won 17 time. They last won the competition in 2004.
East Bengal are placed in Durand Cup’s Group A along with South United FC, Indian Air Force and Namdhari FC. They’ll play 3 group matches on home ground before the race for knockouts.
The Red and Yellow brigade will face debutant South United FC on July 23, in tournament opener at Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Kriangan, Kolkata. Kick off will be at 5:30 PM.
Followed by which they’ll play 2nd match against Namdhari at the other home venue – Kishore Bharati on August 6. They’ll finish their group campaign facing Indian Air Force FT on August 10. Kick off for both these matches will be at 7 pm.
