Odhisa FC tried to attack from the initial stages barring a couple of early forays by the Highlanders. A brace from Josep Gombau and a strike from Jerry Mawihmingthanga put the Highlanders in winning gear. Odisha FC put half a dozen to enjoy a comfortable win in Assam’s maiden game at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati.
Gombau put out his substitutes and all three responded with goals showing their worth in the team. While Isak scored with a brilliant header, Diego Muricio found the net from a free-kick. Thoiba Singh put the last goal in the final minute to make it six for the Highlanders.
