Kolkata : It is the perfect start for the Mohammedan Sporting in the knockout stage of the 131st edition of the Durand Cup. They enter in the semifinal, after finishing top of the Group A ahead of Bengaluru FC, Md Sporting register an easy win against Kerala Blasters on Friday at Vivekananda Yuvabharati Krirangan (VYK).
The match is slowly starting to open up and chances are being created more often by Md Sporting. A sudden moment in the game at 17 minute, a pass from Md Sporting captain Marcus Joseph, Sk Faiaz nets their first goal of ghe match. The score end up on 1-0 in favour of Md Sporting at the half way mark of the game.

But at the start of the second half, the coach of Md Sporting makes two changes and their newly signing Dauda comes to the pitch. After he start to creating chances into Kerala Blaster box, Md Sporting scores their second goal at 58th minute by Dauda and makes it 2-0. This is his first goal in Md Sporting jersey. And since then Md Sporting start to dominate the game untill another header converts into goal by Dauda, which makes Md Sporting a comfortable victory 3-0.
Kerala Blasters young lads make some good runs down the left flank in the last five minutes but fail to make them count.
The winner of the quarter final between Mumbai City FC and Chennaiyin FC will face Mohammedan Sporting at the semi final.
