
Kolkata: Kolkata giants, and defending Runners Mohammedan Sporting put up a top-notch performance to beat Jamshedpur FC 3-0 at Kishore Bharati Krirangan. Mohammedan Sporting took the lead in the 38th minute with Faslu scoring the opener through a rebound from talisman Trinidadian Marcus’ free-kick.
Later, Abhishek Halfder and Sk. Faiaz scored to secure three points from the match.

The substitution of Abhishek Halder instilled an energy in the attack. The third came from Faiaz whom Marcus found with an impeccable through and the winger made no mistake with a clinical finish past Dhami.
In the other match, Army Green hold NorthEast United with 3-1. Talisman and Army Green captain PC Lallawmkima, scored a brace while Somesh Kothari struck the other.
It was the experience and physicality of the Army men that overtook the youngsters from NorthEast United. Army Greens increased their lead in the 55th minute through Lallawmkima, who deservedly bagged the Man of the Match.
