Mohammedan SC booked their opening match 3-1 against defending champions FC Goa. Faslu Rahman bagged the man of the match with fantastic display, along with a goal to boot. Talisman striker Marcus Joseph also got on the scoresheet in that game.
However, Jamshedpur looked a bit unready with 1-2 in their opening game against Bengaluru FC. Nevertheless, Rishi’s strike from a wonderfully executed set-piece highlighted the potential of their squad.
