East Zone began the day from 355-6 where they finished Day 1. Shahbaz plundered 167 (244) with 4 sixes and 17 boundaries. Anukul Roy (37) played handy knock and 103 runs partnership with Shahbaz as East Zone ended on 467.
Akash Choudhary and Pheiroijam Jotin from North East took 3 wickets each.
Coming to bowl, Bengal’s Shahbaz Ahmed yet again picked 3 wickets. Tripura pacer Abhijit K Sarkar grabbed 5-fer to break North East’s backbone as they’re bundled for 111. Mukesh Kumar and Anukul Roy also picked 1 wicket each.
East Zone enforced Follow-On over North East, as they ended the day on 7-0 trailing by 349 runs.
