Bengaluru : Bengal pacers Mukesh Kumar, Mohammed Shami and in form Tripura pacer Abhijit K Sarkar starred with Ball on Day 1 of Duleep Trophy as East Zone bundled out Central Zone for 266.
Mukesh and Abhijit removed top 4 of Central Zone quickly including wicket of captain Rajat Patidar.
Yash Rathod (27) and Aryan Juyal (46) notched 36 runs partnership. Despite loss of wickets again, Rinku Singh (60) and Harsh Dubey (27) notched vital 55 runs partnership. Rinku kept fighting from one end although he didn’t get any support and loss of wickets from other end.
Rinku smashed 60 (88) with 8 boundaries before falling to Mukesh Kumar. Yash Thakur (30), Aryan Pandey (22) added good runs at the end as Central Zone managed 266 in 1st innings.
Mukesh Kumar, Abhijit K Sarkar picked 3 wickets while Shami grabbed 2 wickets.
