Turin: Winning run for defending champions Juventus continued as they beat Sassuolo 3-1 in the Serie-A at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Sunday(January 10). Danilo, Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron Ramsey netted for the Bianconeri while Gregoire Defrel netted one for the visitors.

Andrea Pirlo set up his side in a 4-4-2 formation with Merih Demiral being paired with Leonardo Bonucci at the centre of the defence. Federcio Chiesa and Weston Mckennie starting as wide midfielders completed a four-man midfield with Arthur alongside Rodrigo Bentancur starting in the middle of the park. Cristiano Ronaldo shared the forward line alongside Paulo Dybala.

The home side were putting pressure on their opponents from the kick-off dominating possession. Paulo Dybala combined well with the full back to create goal scoring opportunities but his side failed to finish it off.

Juventus broke the deadlock just after the second-half resumed When Danilo launched an astonishing long range drive finding the corner of net.

But Sassuolo quickly equalised through Geogoire Defrel who took a precise first touch to receive the ball in a tight space before smashing it past goalkeeper Szczesny.

They asked questions to the Bianconeri defence throughout the half but the quality of the players that Juventus had was too much for them to deal with.

Ramsey extended the lead for his side finding the back of the net after the young full back Gialuca Frabotta, completing a surging run down the left towards byline, curled one for the Welsh midfielder.

Ronaldo put the icing on the cake, receiving the long ball from Danilo with lovely first touch before surged down the right hand side into the outrunning the markers before slotting it home equaling the record of Josef Bican for most goals scored in official matches. While the Juventus took full three points to get back to the fourth in the table.
