Turin: Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo breached coronavirus restrictions according to media reports on Thursday(January 28). The Portuguese forward allegedly made a trip to Courmayeur to celebrate his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez’s birthday.
As per reports, the pair travelled on Tuesday and stayed overnight in a resort hotel before returning to Turin on Wednesday.
Rodriguez, a model, shared a picture celebrating his 27th birthday with his family but removed it later. However it was picked up by media with Ronaldo allegedly travelling between the regions of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta.
Under the current rules by the Italian Government, travelling between Covid “orange zones” is forbidden unless for work reasons or for travelling to a second home which includes those areas as well.
Investigation have been started by the authorities. Ronaldo may be fined if proved that he made the trip to the region.
