Rio de Janeiro: Brazil would aim to continue their momentum when they take on Peru in a Group A encounter at Olympic Stadium on Thursday in Copa America 2021. This match is also a rematch of the final in the 2019 edition of the tournament.

Brazil are coming into this match with a dominating 3-0 win against Venezuela and would like to retain their top spot. On the other hand, Rico Gareca’s Peru, who have beaten Ecuador to head to this tournament, would try to take full points in their campaign opener.

Brazil coach Tité is happy with how his boys have performed recently and likely to go with an unchanged line-up. Peru have left behind bigshots Paolo Guerro, Raul Ruidiaz, Pedro Aquino from their Copa America 2021 squad and will depend on fresh legs in the competition.

Gareca will rely heavily on midfielder Christian Cueva who has rendered 11 goals for the team in 72 appearances. A player to watch out for would be FC Emmen attacking midfielder Sergio Peña who has registered seven goals and two assists for the Eredivisie side this season.

On the other hand, Colombia will take on Venezuela in a Group A encounter of Copa America 2021 at Estadio Olimpico Pedro Ludovico Teixeira. Colombia are coming into this game on the back of a victory in their first game of the competition against Ecuador, courtesy of a goal from Edwin Cardona.

A victory in this game would help them get to a better position to qualify for the next round. Juan Cuadrado looks to be in great form for the Colombians and he will be hoping to continue his exploits. Miguel Borja set up the goal in the game against Ecuador and his attacking ability will be a great use against the weakened Venezuelan side.

Venezuela has been in horrendous form over the past few games. The South American side has only managed to win one out of their previous five games and look to be in furthermore trouble due to injuries and the COVID-19 outbreak in the team. The Venezuelans lost 3-0 to Brazil in the opening fixture and will need a positive result against the Colombians to keep their hopes of staying in the competition alive.
