The Florida teen went into the final as an underdog against the to-be number 1 Arnya Sabalenka , known for hard hitting style of play. Lagging behind at 1st , Gauff roared back with a jaw dropping performance and winning the final with a scoreline of 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, in 2 hours.
Gauff, faced the Wimbledon 1st round exit in July , came back with her 3rd major title winning in Washington, Cincinnati, and now the prestigious US Open.
