Barnsley: A goal from striker Tammy Abraham concluded a rather scrappy evening for Chelsea as they beat Barnsley 1-0 to progress through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at the Oakwell on Thursday (February 11).

Despite a lackluster display in the first half, the visitors eventually scored the only goal of the match through youngster Abraham who finished off a fine move by the Blues. Billy Gilmour released substitute Reece James with a through the ball with the full-back making a surging run before squaring it off for the Chelsea no.9

However, it was the hosts who had the upper hand on the Premier League side in the majority of the match creating a handful of chances for them but were unable to make the most of it. Abraham’s goal-line save to deny Michael Saullbauer proved to be crucial as The Blues sealed the FA Cup fifth round marching on to the quarter-finals.
