In order to prepare for Durand Cup 2026, which is set to begin from 25th July, where Mohun Bagan will face East Bengal, the Mariners fielded senior Durand Cup bound players. From iconic goalkeeper Vishal Kaith, Rahul Bheke, Anirudh Thapa, Subhasish Bose, Dippendu Biswas, Sahal Abdul Samad, Manvir Singh, etc all got game time.

Five minutes later, defender Dippendu Biswas netted a third goal from a corner as Mohun Bagan ended the game 3-0.
