Kolkata: The Durand Cup 2026 derby loss against rivals Mohun Bagan last week didn’t affect the mental state and momentum in CFL 2026 for East Bengal as they crushed Pathachakra 5-1 at East Bengal Ground.
Akash Hembram opened the proceedings with a goal as early as 5th minute. Pathachakra’s Souvik Adhikary equalised soon in 9th minute to bring the score to 1-1.
However, Uttam Hansda completed his brace by end of first half with 2 goals in 21st and 45+5th minute.
In the second half, Hembram scored his second goal and East Bengal’s fourth. Md Bilal then gave a finishing touch in 88th minute as East Bengal dominated 5-1 to continue fine form in CFL.
