Kolkata: After wins against George Telegraph and Bidhannagar MSA, East Bengal recorded hat trick of victories defeating Railway FC 1-0 at East Bengal Ground, Kolkata. However, unlike previous 2 matches where East Bengal won on dominant note, Railway FC made East Bengal toil hard for the win.
In first half East Bengal, who were without last match hero PV Vishnu and Tanmay Das kept their attacking rhythm. However, they didn’t find any goals despite creating multiple chances. Railway FC showed sheer display of defending to deny Red and Yellow brigade any advantages. As a result, the first half ended 0-0.
In the start of second half, East Bengal earned a penalty which created lots of controversy during and even post match as Railway FC coach also expressed his disappointment. East Bengal star Jesin TK easily converted it to give them 1-0 lead.
In rest of the match, East Bengal created multiple chances but nearly missed all and Railway defense did really well to stop them.
In the last minute added time, Railway FC sudden surge to East Bengal box created a golden chance but they missed it as a result the match ended 1-0 in East Bengal’s favour.
