KOLKATA – Mohammedan Sporting Club launched their campaign in the Calcutta Football League 2024 in spectacular fashion, securing a resounding 6-0 win over Wari AC in their opening match.
The match, held at Kishore Bharati Krirangan saw Mohammedan Sporting Club assert their dominance right from the outset. The first half saw a controlled performance from Mohammedan Sporting Club, with Sajal Bag opening the scoring in the 32nd minute, giving the team a slender lead going into halftime.
After the break, Mohammedan Sporting Club intensified their attack, showcasing their prowess in the second half. Sajal Bag continued his outstanding form by netting his brace in the 55th minute with a stunning long-range strike, extending his team’s lead to 2-0.
The scoring spree continued as Ashley added a third goal in the 65th minute, further solidifying Mohammedan Sporting Club’s grip on the match. The introduction of super sub Adison Singh proved decisive, as he swiftly made his mark with a goal in the 75th minute.
Another substitute, Lalthankima, coming off the bench, lit up the game with two outstanding goals in the 79th and 85th minutes, leading Mohammedan Sporting Club to a resounding 6-0 victory.
