Turin: Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday (October 13). Although the rest of the Portugal squad had tested negative for the test, Cristiano tested positive and is currently in isolation.

The Juventus star is asymptomatic and is going to miss the next match against Sweden in the Nations League on Wednesday (October 14). He played the last two matches against Spain and France both of which ended in goalless draws.
Portugal Football Federation released a statement that stated, “Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the national team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden.”
“The Portuguese international is doing well, without symptoms, and in isolation. Following the positive case, the remaining players underwent new tests this Tuesday morning, all with a negative result, and are available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon, in the City of Football,” it added.
