Goa : ISL 7 has begun from 20th November 2020, and with a win for ATK Mohun Bagan over Kerala Blasters FC. But major news of concern has broken into the circuit. Their 25-year-old winger Michael Soosairaj who was subbed after 15 mins of the first half due to injury has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Soosairaj signed for ATK last season from Jamshedpur FC on a whopping transfer fee of 90 lakh. It was the highest ever transfer fee paid for any Indian footballer. With three goals last season for ATK , Soosairaj was an important prospect for the newly formed ATKMB club. He took a major role in ATK’s ISL victory last season. With his runs from the left wing and also cutting inside the box and shooting for goal was really mesmerizing to say at least. Coach Antonio Lopez Habas gave him a major role in defending and also helping the side in attack. He was ATKMB’s one of the most important players of this season but will be missing the whole season for the injury he has suffered in the last match.

According to reports Soosairaj has suffered from ACL Grade 3 injury which takes a minimum six months for a player to recover. It has been a huge blow for the club as they are looking to regain the title this season with their new name.

ATK Mohun Bagan will face SC East Bengal on 27th November 2020. With a big blow like this, Habas needs to think for plan B and he needs an immediate replacement.
