Sinsheim : FC Bayern Munich faced their first loss since December 2019. The team who just wrecked havoc in every game last season as well the first match of this season, lost 4-1 to Hoffenheim. Their 23 match winning streak finally came to an end.

Bayern were pretty much terrible, the fatigue of the players were one of the major issues that Hansi Flick needs to solve and address at the earliest. Another, issue would be how to deal with teams that press high. Robert Lewandowski’s absence was felt and Boateng was unusually sloppy and slag. The work rate that Leon Goretzka offered was also missed by Bayern in the first half.

Hoffenheim took the lead just 16 minutes into the game  after Ermin Bicakcic scored. The lead was doubled on 24 minutes when Munas Dabbur chipped a ball over Neuer.
Life was injected into the Bayern side by Joshua Kimmich when he scored on 36 minutes. This score line of 2-1 remained till the the end of first half.

During the second half Lewandowski and Goretzka come on for Joshua Zirkzee and Benjamin Pavard on 56 minutes. Even they failed to help Bayern sneak away even with a draw. As Hoffenheim scored twice again and doubled their lead as the match ended 4-1 in their favour.

The third goal came on 77 minutes as Andrej Kramaric scored and on 90+2′ he completed his brace, after scoring from the spot and took his team over the winning line.

Bayern faced their first ever defeat in 2020, this would put Flick into a position where he might have to reconsider his tactics and sign players, as the team looked too fatigued just into their second matchday of the season.
