Bayern Munich rout Borussia Monchengladbach to celebrate ninth consecutive Bundesliga title

Munich: Bayern Munich put their hands on ninth consecutive Bundesliga title registering a dominant 6-0 victory Borussia Mönchengladbach at home on Saturday (May 8). Robert Lewandowski joined the party in style smashing a hat-trick at the Allianz Arena in Munich with goals from Thomas Muller, Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sané added more shower on the night.

The Bavarians were already after Borussia  Dortmund’s 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig early in the afternoon. The dropped points meant Leipzig sees can’t catch Bayern who are at  top of the table 10 points clear with two match games to play.

 

Hansi Flick’s men fittingly turned on party stepping onto the field. Lewandowski opened the opened the scoring with thumping volley with Thomas Muller adding one to his collection of the season shortly after. The German then set up  Lewandowski to score his 200th goal for Bayern with a astounding  scissors kick in the 34th minute. Kingsley Coman struck just before the half-time as it looked like Bayern were going never going to stop firing at the opposing net. Lewandowski converted his spot-kick in the second half completing his hat trick before Leroy Sane go to end of a superb move on the counters to seal the celebratory evening for the Bavarians.
