Male: ATK Mohun Bagan qualified for the AFC Cup Inter-zonal playoff semifinals as they held a 10-man Basundhara Kings to a 1-1 draw in the final Group D game on Tuesday at the National Stadium.
With just a point required from the game to advance into the next stage, the Kolkata-based side were on backfoot when Brazilian Jonathan Fernandes scored on 20 minutes. Things started to take turn for the ATK when Kings’ Sushanto Tripura recieved a red card in the first half.
With a man down in the opposition, it was advantage for ATK Mohun Bagan. The Kolkata giants scored all-important the equaliser in the 62nd minute through David Williams as ATK Mohun Bagan topped the group with seven point from three matches.

ATK Mohun Bagan have been in tremendous form in the tournament as they defeated compatriots Bengaluru FC before coming from behind to get better of Maziya Sports and Recreation. Basundhara Kings sit second in the group.
ATK Mohun Bagan will be facing the winner of the Central Asia final match between Uzbek club Nasaf and Ahal from Turkmenistan.
