Kolkata : Indian defender Anwar Ali’s transfer saga, which is a red hot topic in Indian Football takes another turn. It’s reportedly said that Anwar might return back to his original club Delhi FC on 5 years deal.

“He is now a DFC (Delhi FC) player – waiting for PSC then transfer happens” – Ranjit Bajaj said to Sportslight Media.

Mohun Bagan Super Giants took Anwar Ali on 4 years loan in 2023.

Despite playing 1 year from the Mohun Bagan side, the news of his permanent transfer to arch rivals East Bengal shook the internet, the saga started to take the shape then, with matters going to lawful battles. It was said that Anwar, without contacting Mohun Bagan agreed terms with East Bengal, & thus the saga got heated up. The matters went into the hands of Player’s Status Committee (PSC).

Despite reports saying that the defender might stay back with Mohun Bagan till the end of his loan clause, after the mariners won the legal battle yesterday, the tables have turned today.

Meanwhile Mohun Bagan Super Giants page admin posted (now deleted) a picture with Anwar’s face tampered, indirectly trolling him. Delhi reportedly filed a defamation case against them too, with Ranjit Bajaj heading the scene.

It is now reportedly said that Anwar might return back to his former Club Delhi FC on permanent transfer very soon.

It’s now matter of time to see official confirmations. AIFF websites, wikipedia too made updates on him being a Delhi FC player.
