Kolkata : Shrachi Rarh Tigers defeated Murshidabad Kings by 59 runs (DLS) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, in Bengal T20 League 2026 clash affected by rain.
Tigers got off to good start Batting first with 52 runs opening stand between Sumanta Gupta (27) and Shuvam Dey SR (51*). Despite Sumanta’s dismissal on 52 in 7th over, the aggressive approach continued. Sumit Nag (37), Gaurav Singh Chauhan (34) all added quick runs as the Tigers posted 188/5 (20).
For Murshidabad, Nuruddin Mondal and Saksham Chaudhary impressed picking 2 wickets each.
Defending 189, Rohit Kumar (3/8) demolished the top 3 in no time in powerplay. Rahul Prasad also picked 2 wickets inside powerplay. But Murshidabad skipper Abhishek Kumar Raman (47) continued to fight lone battle at one end. At last Rahul Prasad (3/26) dismissed him to claim his 3rd wicket, leaving Murshidabad to 112-7 (14.5). Tigers Skipper Shahbaz Ahmed (2/25) also cleared the tail taking 2 wickets. When Murshidabad were on 121/9 (15.5), rain arrived and match couldn’t be continued. Tigers who’re ahead in DLS were rewarded the match with Rohit Kumar as Player of the match.
