Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru Talent Scouts arrive at Eden Gardens, appreciates Bengal T20 League platform

Kolkata : At a time of June , where all state leagues are going on, the talent scouts remain busy in hunting youngsters and future prospects. Such is the case with Kolkata’s Bengal T20 League season 3, a platform that is crucial in uplifting young talents from Bengal, and it has drawn attention of Talent Scouts from various IPL franchises.

On June 8, five time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings Talent Scout Vinod M and 2025, 2026 IPL champion Royal Challengers Bengaluru Talent Scout Rituraj Singh were present at Eden Gardens to see Bengal youngsters showcasing their talents in Bengal T20 League 2026. These two champion franchises are known to groom youngsters to highest level and Bengal T20 League drawn their attention. Both appreciated the platform provided by Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) in bringing out youngsters.

CSK Talent scout Vinod M congratulated CAB on this initiative of Bengal T20 League. The platform enables youngsters to play at Eden Gardens along with international and domestic greats like Mohammad Shami, Shahbaz Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar who’ve represented India and IPL franchises. Vinod also pointed out that Women get equal opportunity in this league.

“I would like to congratulate CAB, they’ve done a fantastic job in bringing Players at Eden Gardens, one of the special grounds, playing T20 here is a good thing for youngsters who can learn from Shahbaz Ahmed, Mohammad Shami, Mukesh Kumar, lots of people have played India and Bengal. Even women get equal opportunities. It’s a good initiative”, said Vinod.

RCB have deployed Rituraj Singh as their primary talent scout for the Bengal T20 League. He is closely monitoring the domestic talent pool in Bengal as part of RCB’s extensive scouting network, which is headed globally by Malolan Rangarajan.

He also stated Bengal T20 League as good opportunity for youngsters to showcase their talent and lauded CAB’s initiative.

“The league is a good opportunity for youngsters to showcase their talents. As scouts, we’re watching their game. This is a platform where you see good young talents and future prospects who can be in IPL franchises or perform at biggest level. CAB has taken good initiative in organising this league in big scale. I’m sure youngsters will get benefit out of it. The support system is very good”.

Rituraj emotionally appreciated Eden Gardens’ beauty and said it’s precious to him and one of the best Cricket Grounds in India, and mentioned the youths have good opportunity to learn playing here. He acknowledged former Indian legendary captain Sourav Ganguly for his past contributions to Indian Cricket and what he’s currently doing for Bengal Cricket.

“Beautiful feeling to sit at Eden Gardens and see Dada (Sourav Ganguly) here. All these beautiful moments (referring to decorated pictures of past Cricketing history of Sourav Ganguly at Eden Gardens) are very precious to me. We’ve seen him on our growing days and what he has done for Indian Cricket and is doing for Bengal at the moment. We all know about Eden, one of the beautiful and best Cricketing grounds in India. So I feel the kids who’re playing here has good opportunity to learn the sport and get at good level”, Rituraj stated.

It’s a matter of time to see when young talents in Bengal Cricket get opportunity in IPL Or Indian team.
