Kolkata Royal Tigers Batting first lost early wicket of opener Shyla Senapati (0) for 1 run. Skipper Mita Paul (37) and Trishita Sarkar (24) stiched 48 runs partnership before the later was dismissed in 10th over. Mita eventually followed her in 13th over as Kolkata were at 78-3. Wicket keeper Batter Sansthita Biswas played handy knock of 48* (32) including 8 boundaries helping Kolkata post 131/3 (20).
Chasing 132, Purulia lost struggling Toriya Singha Roy (6) inside the powerplay on 23 runs. Payel Vakharia (32) and skipper Dhara Gujjar (42*) notched crucial 49 runs partnership. Dhara smashed 42*(28) at a strike rate of 150 , including 3 sixes and 2 boundaries. It helped Purulia to better the run rate and in turn excel in DLS method later on.
With rain’s intervention the match was curtailed and Purulia eventually won by 8 wickets scoring 89/2 (14).
