Harare : India U19 defeated Afghanistan U19 by 7 wickets at Harare in ICC U19 World Cup 2026 semi final. Aaron George’s ton helped India to achieve the feat and qualify for final.
Batting first, Afghanistan Batters – Faisal Shinozada (110) & Uzarullah Niazai (101*) put up tons and brought Afghanistan score to 310-4 (50).
Chasing 311, India started aggressively with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (68) smashing quick fire half century.
The star of the show was Aaron George, who smashed 115 (104), comprising 15 boundaries and 2 sixes. Skipper Ayush Mhatre (62) put up 114 runs stand with him. After Ayush got dismissed, Vihaan Malhotra (38*) also accompanied him for 96 runs partnership, as India pulled the record chase in 41.1 overs to reach final.
India will face England in final on 6th February at Harare.
