Visakhapatnam : India defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in 2nd T20I at ACA VCDA Stadium, Visakhapatnam, with help of Shafali Verma’s half century and take 2-0 lead.

Bowling first, Indian bowlers kept Sri Lanka under control. Vaishnavi Sharma and Shree Charani picked 2 wickets each, as Sri Lanka were restricted to 128-9 (20).

Chasing 129 runs, despite losing Smriti Mandhana (14) early, Shafali Verma (69*) notched 58 runs partnership with Jemimah Rodrigues (26). Verma played knock of 69* (34) comprising 11 boundaries and 1 six, chasing down the target in 11.5 overs. She was awarded Player of the match.
