Bolpur : North Bengal United FC defeated Burdwan Blasters 2-0 to register their 2nd win of Bengal Super League 2025-26.
The rivalry between the two teams was intense from the start at the Bolpur Stadium on Saturday. From the beginning, neither team seemed willing to give up even a single inch of ground. But Sanju Santra made the difference between the two teams. North Bengal took the lead with his goal in the 26th minute. Although both teams had several chances, the score remained 1-0 in favor of North Bengal at the end of the first half.
To equalize in the second half, Burdwan Blasters strikers had to come back within a goal. But far from equalizing, they conceded a goal in the 61st minute. North Bengal took the lead through David’s goal. After that, Burdwan could not reduce the gap despite many attempts. In the end, the match result was 2-0.
