London: 2019/20 was a solid season for Liverpool. They won their first Barclays English Premier League title since it’s arrival in 1993. So Jurgen Klopp’s men were filled with utter confidence during the pre-season campaign in Austria. But injury has been a concern for Klopp before the Community Shield clash against Arsenal on Saturday.

Seven stars including club captain Jordon Henderson was missing during the pre-match training on Friday. This has forced Klopp to change his first eleven. The team will start 4-4-3 like usual, with Allison under the bar. As regular Right Back Alexander Arnold was injured Neco Willams would be starting with Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Andy Robertson. Fabiano, Gigi Wijnaldum, Naby Keita in the middle. And with their regular frontline Salah, Firmino and Mane.

Klopp in the pre match press conference said that “All the boys which were not involved so far or got slight knocks in pre-season will not be available for tomorrow, but [are] getting closer, really closer, closer and closer so hopefully the majority of them can start training completely normal after the Arsenal game, but this game is now a bit too early for them. Maybe one or two [will be] involved in the squad, we have to see,” Klopp said when addressing the media on Friday.

“That’s it pretty much. Hendo and Joel [Matip] looking really good, on a good way. Ox, early stages but good. Shaq, good. Trent, very close, we have to make a decision about tomorrow. Harry [Wilson] looks good.”
