Kolkata- In what is called a tight affair, Ashley Westwood’s RoundGlass Punjab FC hold Churchill Brothers to a 2-2 draw at Naihati Stadium as they resume their I-League campaign.

Braces from  Kurtis Guthrie and Kenneth Ikechukwu for their respective sides, made both the team split the points. Ikechukwu opened the scoring for the Reds in the 16th minute through a perfect cross by Komron. Komron had recently joined Churcill Brothers from debutants Rajasthan and. Guthrie restored the parity in the 34th minute. However Ikechukwu put the Goan side ahead coming from the break. As they were about to get away with all the points, Guthrie produced a powerful 89 minute freekick to make them share the spoils.

Earlier at the same venue, 10 men Indian Arrows claimed a 1-0 victory over Sudeva Delhi in a tight affair. However, despite the results the most striking feature of the game was a complete Indian squad fielded by the coaches. 19 year old skipper Parthib Gogoi scored the sole goal separating the sides.

With the man advantage, Sudeva Delhi FC attempted to gain control in the middle of the park, but it was Indian Arrows who made the first breakthrough at the hour mark. As the Arrows midfield tried to thread a pass through for wide forward as Gogoi, the ball was intercepted by Nishchal Chandan, who then failed to clear his lines. Gogoi managed to win the ball in a dangerous position and slid a calm finish past goalkeeper Sachin Jha.

Elsewhere at Kalyani Stadium, IFA shield winners Real Kashmir FC make a comeback to hold debutant Kenkre FC in a 1-1 draw.  Vijay Nagappan and Mason Robertson scored for their sides, as they share the spoils.

In the 43rd minute, Kenkre received a corner and Vijay Nagappan’s cross went straight to Kiran Pandhare inside the box. But his header went just wide off the mark. A counter-attacking move from Kenkre FC towards the stroke of half time saw Vijay clearing Real Kashmir’s defense and hitting a right-footed shot towards the bottom-right corner to give his team a 1-0 lead.

Real Kashmir Head Coach David Robertson brought on fresh legs in the 65th minute replacing Meitei with Ragav Gupta. The change in formation worked for Real Kashmir as Mason Robertson scored a goal in the next minute as Ragav gave a brilliant assistant to his captain inside the 6-yard-box, which Robertson collected with ease and put it past the nets.

Despite more attempts at the goal by Mason, the scores remain tied till the end of the game.
