Mumbai: It’s very true that u can never forget your first love and that has been proved by legendary Sachin Tendulkar. The former Indian batsman has a collection of some of the world’s most luxurious cars, but he still misses his first car which was a Maruti Suzuki 800. In spite of owning the flagship vehicles of top brands like Ferrari, BMW, and Nissan among others, Tendulkar still can’t get over his first car.

And he has now requested his fans to help him find his first car. In an interview, Tendulkar had accepted that he still missed his very first car and encouraged his fans to help him find it back. Furthermore, he disclosed that he had a great passion for the car since he was very young as he always watched others park their cars at a drive-in which was close to his house during his childhood.

“My first car was a Maruti 800. Unfortunately, it is not with me right now. I would love to have it back again with me. So, people listening to me, feel free to contact and get in touch,” said Tendulkar.

“There was a massive open drive-in movie hall near my house where people used to park their cars and watch the movie, sitting in it. So I, along with my brother, used to stand in our balcony for hours to watch those cars,” he added.

The most ornated batsman in the history of the game, Tendulkar later thought of the time when he was first asked to enter the Mumbai dressing room as a ball boy right before he made his first-class debut. He also disclosed that his hero and former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar asked him to come to the dressing room.

“I was standing right in front of the dressing room (as a ball boy), so I could observe how players prepare themselves for the game. Later I got invited by my hero (Sunil) Gavaskar in the dressing room,” remembered the legendary batsman.

“I still remember he was sitting on the last seat right in the corner and coincidently I also ended up sitting on the same spot when I started playing Ranji Trophy cricket. It was a coincidence to share the same spot as your hero but a magnificent coincidence,” he amplified.

Later on in his career, Tendulkar broke Gavaskar’s record of maximum Test centuries and departed after becoming the most achieved batsman in the history of the game. He holds the record for most runs in Tests (15,921) and ODIs (18,426) in extension to the record of 100 international centuries.
